Is that beneficial for Uninor ? Well, yes. It is observed that more discount is offered during off peak hours. So they ensure that network is being used all the times, and hence earn all the time ! During peak hours, discount is usually less, or fine for a while.
Uninor really tried to come up with new ideas while entering Indian telecom market. Though it will take a little bit longer to acquire considerable customer base , 24×7 Discount plan has helped them carve out an unique position in the market.

Only with plans like these a new operator can enter the market. But one of the major hurdles is coverage. Most of these new operators have coverage only in the main parts of the city.

Uninor is a no 1 cheater.you will not get discount more than 15% in most of the time.Only a small discount is there even for night time. So please dont fall victim to their advertisements

The discounts given by Uninor are 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 50%, and 60%. There are no 25%-45% and 55% discounts. The 50% and 60% discounts are like new moon which comes very rarely and stays for some minutes. It would have been a better plan, had Uninor provided 25%-45% and 55% discounts. I think MTS is better, which offers 0.5 paise per sec but the only disadvantage is it is CDMA.
