From July 1, 2025, a 1 % fee (capped at ₹4,999 per transaction) will apply to online skill-based gaming spends over ₹10,000, and no reward points will be earned on these transactions.
Wallet loads (excluding PayZapp) exceeding ₹10,000 per month will incur a 1 % fee (capped at ₹4,999 per transaction) starting July 1, 2025.
Insurance-spend reward caps have been tightened: Infinia cards up to 10,000 points/month; Diners Black/Metal, H.O.G Diners Club, BizBlack Metal cards up to 5,000 points/month; all other HDFC cards up to 2,000 points/month; Marriott Bonvoy cardholders remain uncapped.
From June 10, 2025, Tata Neu Infinity and Tata Neu Plus cardholders must meet quarterly spending milestones to receive domestic lounge access vouchers, as card swipes alone will no longer grant entry.

From July 1, 2025, new charges will be applicable for the following categories:

2. Online Skill-Based Gaming
- A 1% fee will be levied on online gaming transactions exceeding Rs 10,000 in a calendar month.
- This charge will apply to the full spend amount and is capped at Rs 4,999 per transaction.
- No Reward Points or CashPoints will be earned on these transactions.
3. Wallet Loading (excluding PayZapp)
- A 1% fee will also apply to wallet loads exceeding Rs 10,000 per month.
- This fee will be calculated monthly and capped at Rs 4,999 per transaction.
Revised Reward Point Accrual on Insurance Transactions
HDFC Bank has also revised the reward point caps for insurance-related transactions based on the type of credit card:
Premium Cards
- Infinia and Infinia Metal Edition: Max 10,000 reward points/month.
- Diners Black, Diners Black Metal, H.O.G Diners Club, BizBlack Metal: Max 5,000 reward points/month.
Other HDFC Credit Cards
- All other cards: Max 2,000 reward points/month for insurance spends.
Note: The earlier daily cap of Rs 5,000 or Rs 2,000 (depending on the card) for insurance-related rewards will remain valid only until June 30, 2025.
Exception – Marriott Bonvoy HDFC Bank Credit Card
- No cap will be applied on Marriott Bonvoy Points for insurance payments made with this specific card.
No Rewards on Gaming Transactions
Effective July 1, 2025, no Reward Points or CashPoints will be given on any skill-based gaming transactions across all HDFC credit cards.
New Lounge Access Rules for Tata Neu Cards – Effective June 10, 2025
HDFC Bank has updated its domestic lounge access policy for Tata Neu Infinity and Tata Neu Plus Credit Cards:
- Lounge access will no longer be available just by swiping the card at the lounge.
- Instead, vouchers will be issued based on quarterly spending milestones.
