Introducing a new and more secure MobiKwik Wallet !

As part of our continuous efforts to make MobiKwik Wallet more and more secure for all our users,  we are proud to announce that we’re adding a 2nd level of authentication. This authentication can be used to prevent misuse of the money in your wallet when someone gets an unauthorized access to your mobile phone or in an unfortunate event of your mobile phone getting lost/stolen.

To begin with, we’ve released an experimental Transaction lock feature which allows you to set up a 6 digit PIN which you’ll need to enter before your wallet money can be used in the MobiKwik Android app.

Moreover, using another security feature Remote Detonation, regardless of whether you’ve set up the Transaction Lock or not, it’s now possible to secure your Wallet remotely and prevent misuse of money in your wallet if your mobile device gets lost. To trigger remote detonation, all you need to do is send an SMS from an alternate number provided by you. Remote detonation logs you out of the application and wipes out all your private data in the app such as transaction history.

Both of these security features are Opt-in features and unless you explicitly set up the lock, everything works as before. To use either of these features, visit Security Settings section from My Account > Menu > Settings.
