Introducing MobiKwik app for Windows Phone – built in collaboration with Microsoft

Ever since Microsoft came up with the Metro design language, we have been great fan of Windows Phone platform as we truly believe that “Metro” is one of the most refreshing design change in recent times. Windows Phone just feel so much more lively and engaging, and so do the apps running on it!

While we were working on native apps for Android, iOS and Blackberry, the proportion of our users who are on Windows Phone kept growing and growing, and then Microsoft approached us with their expert help to have our app launched on Windows Phone! How in the world could we deny this opportunity to be able to fulfill frequent requests coming from users of this amazing platform.

So here it is, built after a nice collaborative effort between MobiKwik and Microsoft, MobiKwik app landing on Windows Phone!

The app has been designed keeping Metro Design principles in mind. The Panoramic home screen makes it extremely easy to access the dashboard. So, whether you want to Add money to your wallet, access Saved Connections or Transaction History just swipe left or right and see the magic! The app uses every single pixel of the device screen and makes great use of the transitions the platform provides for an amazing user experience. Since Metro is so much about motion and fluidity, a static screenshot just doesn’t look as good as an app in action.

The current version allows you to make a recharge or pay bill for all services currently active on MobiKwik. For payment, you can add money using any major Debit card (Mastercard, Visa, Maestro, Diners, Discover), Credit cards and Netbanking from any of the 53 major Indian banks. You can browse plans of mobile operators, you can also save numbers of your near and dear ones and use them to make a recharge without typing anything at all. We call it Zero typing recharge and you must try it once to see how painless is the recharge process!

Apart from that, you can see all your transaction history within the app. If you end up forgetting your MobiKwik password, an option to reset it without any hassle is also available.
